The P/M has decided to keep all the current sets for Scotland 2023. The exception will be two tunes, The Pipers Waltz and the International Gathering. Both of these tunes have been removed from the tune list for Scotland 2022 but will remain on the web site.
As this is a memorial tour in honour of our P/M Beth Cleaton the decision was made to keep the sets intact as Beth had personally picked all these tunes and arrangements. The exception being the two tunes mentioned which she had decided to drop from the upcoming tour.
There may be a Ceilidh set of fun tunes Hornpipes, Jigs, Reels etc. published later. This will be 100% optional but all participants for this set must play all tunes in the set. It is meant to be fun and a little challenging for those looking for something extra. Again it is 100% optional.
It is the P/M's intent to record all tunes and we will publish an MP3 version as soon as possible. This will allow us to ensure we are all playing together. We will also in the new year try to have a few Zoom meetings with the P/M the band executive and our Travel agent to answer any questions you may have. Remember this is meant to be a fun trip but we want to look good and sound good!
